She and her husband, Howard F. Kessler, celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary Dec. 25.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her brother, Wilson T. Boerstler, Nazareth, and a sister, Mrs. Vera Deininger, York, PA.

Wilson T. Boerstler, 86, of 125 Belvidere St., Nazareth, died Thursday in his home. He was the husband of Mildred A. (Smith) Boerstler. They were married 60 years.He was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, working out of Nazareth for 17 years before retiring in 1974. Before that he was a hosiery knitter for the former Kraemer Hosiery and Chipman Knitting mills, Nazareth, for 30 years.
Born in Nazareth, he was a son of the late Wilson J. and Elizabeth (Hertzog) Boerstler.
He was a member, diener, trustee and Sunday school teacher of Nazareth Moravian Church. He also played in the church orchestra for 72 years, 41 of which were in the senior trombone choir, which he led for 18 years. He conducted trumpet lessons for many years, having played since age 14. Boerstler was a volunteer for Gracedale and Meals on Wheels. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the 95th Division in Europe. He was a past master of Masonic Blue Lodge Whitfield 622, Nazareth.
Survivors: Wife; son Glenn of Nazareth; daughter, Nancy Ann, wife of Charles Coutant of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

GEORGE W. BOERSTER
George W. Boerstler, 86, formerly of Nazareth R.D. 1, died at 11:50 a.m. yesterday at Gracedale, Nazareth R.D. 1, where he was a guest for about five years.Mr. Boerstler was employed principally as a laborer, and worked briefly at one time as a bartender.
He was born at East Lawn, Upper Nazareth Township, a son of the late Joseph and Rebecca Witsell Boerstler.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Nazareth, and a charter member of the Nazareth Chapter, Sons of Union Veterans. His wife, the former Anne Heckman, died 41 years ago. A son, Jacob, died 14 years ago.
His only survivors are three granddaughters, Mrs. Anne Wilkenson, Wilson; Mrs. Eleanor Harstine, Easton, and Mrs. Jean Diehl, Bethlehem R.D. 1, and seven great-grandchildren.
Private funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Bensing Funeral Home, Moorestown.

Funeral services were held yesterday in the Bensing Funeral Home, Moorestown, for George W. Boerstler, 86, Nazareth R.D. 1, who died Wednesday. Rev. Alfred L. Long of St. John's Lutheran Church, Nazareth, officiated.Pallbearers were George Wilkenson, James Diehl, Herbert Bensing and George Bensing. Interment was in St. John's Cemetery, Nazareth.
