Violet R. Kemmerer, 81, of Saylorsburg, passed away, Monday, Jan. 27, 2003, in her home.

Born: April 2, 1921, in Tannersville, Pa., a daughter of the late Harrison and Lulu Price Butz.

Personal: She was the beloved wife of the late Charles F. Kemmerer. She was a loving wife and mother. Together with her husband she worked on their farm in Hamilton Township, Pa., for most of her lifetime. She also worked for Teddy's Blouse Mill in Sciota, Pa., as a trimmer for 20 years. Later, she worked for Hamilton Sportswear in Hamilton Square for six years.

Memberships: She was a member of Christ Hamilton Lutheran Church of Stroudsburg, Pa., where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years.

Survivors: three daughters, Linda M. Browning, and her husband, Ernie, of Hebron, Conn., Betty J. Domotor, and her husband, John, of Kunkletown, Pa., and Peggy Ann Setzer, and her husband, Harold, of Moscow, Pa.; two sons, C. George, and his wife, Borghild, of Mount Bethel and Frank, and his wife, Heildgard, of Saylorsburg; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, James Butz of East Stroudsburg and Jerome Butz and Alvin Mader, both of Easton; and two sisters, Helen Kemmerer of Saylorsburg and Clara Hartman of Snydersville, Pa. A son, Wayne; a grandson, Eric; a sister, Laura Miller; and a brother, Raymond Butz, all died earlier.

WILLIS E. KEMMERER
Willis E. Kemmerer, 81, of Saylorsburg, died April 26 in Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg. He was married to Helen (Butz) Kemmerer.

He was a set-up,delivery and repairs man for Van D. Yetter Jr. Mobile Home Sales for more than eight years. Previously, he worked on the assembly line for Patterson Kelly, East Stroudsburg, for 19 years and was a member of its International Boilermakers Union No. 397. Before that, he was a farmer in Saylorsburg.

Born in Hamilton Township, Monroe County, he was a son of the late Frank L. and Laura (Peters) Kemmerer.

He was a member of Christ Hamilton United Lutheran Church, Hamilton Township, its Men's Fellowship and Christ Hamilton Seniors. He was a former member of the church council. He was a member of Eagles Club 1106, Stroudsburg.

Survivors: Wife; sisters, Arlene S. Gower of Saylorsburg, Martha Jean Lotz of Stroudsburg; nieces, nephews.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the church. Call 12:30-1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the church. Arrangements, Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, East Stroudsburg.
